Questions
What should a locum pharmacist invoice include?
Your name (or your limited company's name), GPhC number and address; the pharmacy's name and address; an invoice number and date; each shift's date, hours and rate; any mileage; the total due; and your bank details so they can pay you. This template puts all of it in.
Is anything I type saved or sent anywhere?
No. The invoice is made in your browser and downloaded straight to your device. Nothing is sent to RotaDash or anyone else, and nothing is kept when you close the page.
Can I invoice through my limited company?
Yes. Add your company's name and the invoice comes from the company, with you named underneath with your GPhC number.
How are the hours worked out?
From each shift's start and finish, minus the unpaid break. A finish earlier than the start counts as the next morning, for overnight shifts.
Does this add VAT?
No. Most locums aren't VAT-registered, so the template doesn't add VAT. If you are registered, check with your accountant what your invoices need to show.
Weighing up a shift before you take it?
The locum rate calculator works out what a shift is really worth per hour, with mileage and driving time.
